<br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICER 1/11 <br /> <br />10/22/2007 <br /> <br />Respond to inquires, complaints and requests for service in a fair, tactful and <br />timely manner. <br /> <br />Solve complex code enforcement issues independently. <br /> <br />Establish and maintain professional relationships with those contacted in the <br />course of work, including non-compliant members of the public. <br /> <br />Work independently in the absence of supervision and make independent <br />decisions involving sensitive situations. <br /> <br />Skill to: <br /> <br />Provide excellent customer service to the public, other agencies and other city <br />employees. <br /> <br />Operate a variety of modern office equipment, including computer equipment and <br />applicable software. <br /> <br />Operate a motor vehicle safely and maintain a satisfactory driving record. <br /> <br />Experience and Training Guidelines: <br />Any combination of education, experience and training that would provide the <br />required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the <br />minimum knowledge and abilities would be: <br /> <br />Code Enforcement Officer I <br /> <br />Experience: <br /> <br />Two years of experience in public contact work involving investigation or <br />inspection skills. Experience enforcing codes and ordinances is highly <br />desirable. <br /> <br />Education: <br /> <br />Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade. <br /> <br />License or Certificate: <br /> <br />Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid California driver's license. <br /> <br />3 <br /> <br />14815 <br />Muff #903 <br />
