~ 0 R I G I N A L 7/1/96 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 12813 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR THE MARLIN PARK <br /> IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br /> AGREEMENT FOR SAID WORK; AND DIRECTING RETURN OF <br /> SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 12750, adopted May 13, 1996, the City <br />Clerk advertised for bids for the Marlin Park Improvements Project, Redwood City, <br />California; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to said advertisement, five bids were received for the <br />performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Valley Crest Landscape, Inc. of Pleasanton, California, is the lowest <br />responsible bidder and it is the intention and desire of this Council to accept said bid of <br /> <br />Valley Crest Landscape, Inc.; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. The bid of Valley Crest Landscape, Inc., in the amount of Seven Hundred <br /> Two Thousand Fii~y Six and 80/100 Dollars ($702,056.80), computed in accordance with <br /> said bidder's proposal dated June 19, 1996, for the Marlin Park Improvements Project, is <br /> hereby accepted, and said bidder is hereby found and declared to be the lowest responsible <br /> bidder for said work. <br /> <br /> 2. That certain agreemem entitled "Agreement" (formed dated 06/20/96) by and <br /> between the City of Redwood City, a municipal corporation of the State of California and <br /> Valley Crest Landscape, Inc., a copy of which agreemem is on file in the Office of the City <br /> <br /> -1- <br /> <br /> <br />
