<br />EXHIBIT "A" <br /> <br />ELECTRICAL EVALUATION AND PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE SERVICES <br />FOR STORM DRAINS SYSTEM PUMP STATIONS <br /> <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> <br />The City's Storm Drain System includes 17 major storm pump stations, and several <br />smaller dewatering or small pumps, which are also a part of the system, in various <br />locations throughout the City. The scope of services encompasses the entire system of <br />pumps. <br /> <br />Consultant will perform the following services on a time and materials basis: <br /> <br />1. Work will be performed by contractor in order of priority as set by Redwood City <br />(PWS) Storm Drains Maintenance Section Utility Specialist, Rich Del Ben <br />("Specialist"). <br /> <br />2. Communicate and confirm scheduled work days with Specialist or Storm Drains <br />Maintenance Section Supervisor Rich Boyer ("Supervisor"). <br /> <br />3. Prior to any station shutdown, when a shutdown is required, Consultant will inform <br />and coordinate shutdown with the specialist or supervisor. <br /> <br />4. Inspect and evaluate all electrical components at each pump station, including <br />megohmmeter testing of electrical wiring for both interior of structure and exterior <br />of stru ctu re. <br /> <br />5. Repair and or replace small parts as needed during PM. <br /> <br />6. Provide a written report for each station, on a form to be provided by the City, <br />containing the findings of the inspection within 5 working days from the date of <br />inspection on all, all work completed, and any and all materials used. <br /> <br />7. Contractor must receive verbal authorization from the Supervisor or Specialist prior <br />to initiating any work, or purchasing materials or components where the cost <br />exceeds $1,000.00 or is beyond the typical scope of preventative maintenance. <br />For such work, Consultant will provide a written estimate of all costs, including <br />materials and labor. <br /> <br />8. All parts and materials belong to the City of Redwood City and shall be given to the <br />Specialist for disposal at the Municipal Services Center (MSC), 1400 Broadway, <br />Redwood City, CA. <br /> <br />Agreement over $1 OK 10 <br />City Attorney Approval Version 111803 <br />
