At the same time, staff will draft the implementing resolution <br />and associated staff report for consideration by the City Council. <br />9. 1f the request for permit parking is denied or terminated, a second study of the same or similar <br />RPP area will not be conducted for a minimum of twelve months unless there is a significant, <br />identifiable change in parking characteristics as detemtined by the Parking & Transportation <br />Demand Manager. <br />Program Impinnentatian, Etfoaenrent and Ongoing Operation <br />Once a new RPP area has been approved by the City Council, the following steps will implement the <br />decision initially and over time: <br />1. Engineering staff will: <br />a. Notify Revenue Services that a new 12PP area was created and provide a map of the area <br />along with the associated information (e.g. time limit, days, and hours) <br />b. Issue a work order to install parking signs on all block faces within the RPP area <br />c. Notify Police that a new RPP area was created, provide a map of the area along with the <br />associated information (e.g. time limit), and provide warning notices explaining the new <br />restriction <br />P. Revenue Services staff will: <br />a.d. Order permit stickers and/or hang tags for distribution to residents; <br />2. Revenue Services staff will: <br />b -a. Issue parking permits <br />�. Fulltime Permits - Up to three (3) annual parking permits per dwelling unit, unless a <br />different number is the maximum established in theby resolution creating each RPP <br />arca. limit is set per address <br />ii. Up to ten, 24-hour guest permits per address <br />ii. 24-hour and 14 -day Visitor Permits — Up to ten (10) annual visitor parking permits per <br />dwelling unit, unless a different number is established by resolution.the maximum <br />established in the resolution creating each Rill' area. limit is set per address. An <br />additional limit on the maximum issued at oar time may also be established. <br />hi. To receive annual or guest visitor permits, resident must provide the following. <br />1. Current vehicle registration and license plate number <br />2. Proof of residency within the permit area <br />3- Pay applicable fee <br />iv. For individuals providing care to a resident within an RPP area with the provision of <br />1. letter from the resident identifying the permit applicant as the caregiver <br />2. Current vehicle registration <br />3. Proof of residency of the care recipient witfun the permit area <br />c.b.Collect associated fees, if and when they arc approved <br />d.c. Notify the Parking &'Transportation Demand Manager of any issues <br />3. Public Works staff will: <br />a. Order and install parking si[,ms per the issued work order <br />b. No stickers or tags and it <br />gives Individuals the 0ex@ilav, to park whichever of their <br />cars they wish. So if I have three permits and 9 cars <br />registered with the program, l can only park three of my <br />registered vehicles on the street at any point in time but it <br />doesn't limit which of the nine I choose to store on the <br />greet. Similarly, I have a bike locker at work. R only fits one <br />bike at a time but the UnlverAW does not attempt to limit <br />which bike I gore in it at any point in time. <br />Commented [IC10j: Given thel irectiom thingsaregoing <br />in Sacramento, I think a plot based default will age better as <br />the sire of plots is likely to change slower than the number <br />of units. <br />
