EXHIBIT A <br />PROPOSED CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />HOUSING LEADERSHIP MANAGER <br />DEFINITION <br />09/09/2019 <br />Plan, organize, lead, facilitate, direct, review and coordinate the functions and activities <br />of the City's Housing Division including housing programs, funding, policies and related <br />housing development and rehabilitation services; function as the City's catalyst in <br />developing new housing, especially low income, and workforce housing; provide <br />leadership and direction to staff on housing initiatives and programs; explore and pilot <br />innovative housing solutions (policies, programs and projects); communicate and engage <br />with the public and partner agencies on the City's housing initiatives; provide legislative <br />analysis on housing related issues; collaborate and coordinate activities with other City <br />departments and outside partner agencies; provide staff support to the City's Housing <br />and Human Concerns Committee; and provide highly responsible and complex <br />administrative support to the Deputy City Manager, City Manager, and the City Council. <br />DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS <br />This is a manager -level position responsible for providing leadership and administration <br />in planning, organizing, directing, coordinating and reviewing the City's housing division <br />which includes short-term, mid-term, and long-term approaches to maintain and expand <br />the supply of affordable housing in the City. Able to apply professional knowledge and <br />skills to effect research, analysis, planning and implementation of housing development <br />programs and housing finance assistance. <br />SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED <br />Receives general supervision from the City Manager or his/her designee. <br />Responsibilities include direct or indirect supervision over professional, technical and <br />administrative support staff. <br />EXAMPLES OF IMPORTANT AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES <br />Duties may include, but are not limited to the following: <br />1.
