6.C. - Page 11 of 35 <br />• Redwood City Fire Department improved from a low of 48 percent in 2016 to 77 <br />percent in 2018 and is on track to complete all inspections by the end of its fiscal <br />year <br />City Response — The City agrees with the finding and the Redwood City Fire Department <br />did complete 100% of the inspections for apartments, hotels and motels within its <br />jurisdiction by the end of Fiscal Year 2018/2019. <br />Finding 11: In 2016 Central County Fire Department failed to perform annual inspections <br />of at least 90 percent of the apartments, condominiums, hotels and motels within its <br />jurisdiction. The department inspected over 90 percent of these structures in 2017 and <br />2018. The Department could not provide data for 2015. <br />City Response — No response per Grand Jury instructions found in the <br />"Request for Responses" section. <br />Finding 12: The following five fire departments currently have data management systems <br />that allow them to readily track and report on the completion of their mandated annual <br />inspections: <br />• Central County Fire Department <br />• Menlo Park Fire Protection District <br />• North County Fire Authority <br />• San Mateo Consolidated Fire Department; and <br />• Woodside Fire Protection District <br />City Response — No response per Grand Jury instructions found in the <br />"Request for Responses" section. <br />Finding 13: The following two departments plan to implement database systems that will <br />allow them to readily track and report on the completion of their mandated annual <br />inspections: <br />• San Bruno Fire Department; and <br />• Redwood City Fire Department <br />City Response — The City agrees with the finding.
