6.E. - Page 1 of 13 <br />/<�ik <br />Redwood <br />CitylCallifornia <br />Faunded 1867 <br />A,&/ <br />DATE: September 23, 2019 <br />SUBJECT <br />STAFF REPORT <br />To the Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From the City Manager <br />Service and Maintenance Agreement for Sun Ridge Systems, Inc., a records integrated management <br />system, from February 8, 2019 to February 7, 2022 <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />By motion, approve and authorize the City Manager to execute the Software Support Services Agreement <br />with Sun Ridge Systems, Inc. for software upgrades and maintenance services for the Redwood City Police <br />Department's Records Integrated Management System from February 8, 2019 through February 7, 2022 <br />in the amount of $244,991. <br />STRATEGIC INITIATIVE <br />Public Safety <br />BACKGROUND <br />On May 21, 2007, City Council approved the purchase of a Records Integrated Management System (RIMS) <br />from Sun Ridge Systems, Inc. ("Sun Ridge") for Police Department use. The initial purchase and contractual <br />agreement with Sun Ridge included an annual agreement for the provision of software upgrades, <br />maintenance and service. Every year, the Police Department has purchased an annual RIMS service <br />agreement from Sun Ridge. On May 7, 2018, City Council authorized the City Manager to pay the annual <br />RIMS service and maintenance invoice for the period of February 8, 2018 to February 7, 2019 in the <br />amount of $76,618. Staff seeks City Council approval for a three-year RIMS service agreement with Sun <br />Ridge, for the time period February 8, 2019 through February 7, 2022, with the 2019-2020 invoice totaling <br />$81,653, a 2020-2021 payment totaling $80,860, and a 2021-2022 payment totaling $82,478, for a total <br />not to exceed agreement amount of $244,991. <br />City of Redwood City 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, CA. 94063 Tel: 650-780-7000 www.redwoodcity.ore <br />138 <br />
