EXHIBIT "A" <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES AND FEE <br />Scope of Work: <br />Consultant will provide the Services on an as -needed basis, up to 20 hours a week, as <br />determined by the City Manager or Deputy City Manager. <br />Consultant will physically report to the City and be present in the City office up to three <br />times a week as needed to lead strategic marketing and communications efforts for the <br />City Manager's Office during an interim capacity. Consultant will be available for calls <br />and other work as needed, when not in the office. <br />General Marketing and Communications in coordination with the staff in the City <br />Manager's Office, lead the strategic needs of the City to continue communications and <br />marketing initiatives in an interim capacity, including: <br />• Oversee the City's public communications activities <br />• Supervise the Communications and Community Engagement Analyst and Intern <br />in the City's Communications Office <br />• Coordinate work with the City's Public Relations Consultant <br />• Maintain the production of the City's newsletters and other collateral materials <br />• Assist Redwood City departmental staff and leadership with communications <br />activities related to their ongoing projects and issues <br />• Create and assist in implementing communications strategies, plans, and tactics, <br />and be available to staff on an on-call basis for communications, publicity, or <br />media needs <br />• Produce news releases, speaking/key message points, speeches, support <br />letters, and other written materials for use by staff and leadership <br />• Coordinate with staff in the production, monitoring, and maintenance of City <br />website content for consistency, clarity, timeliness, and appropriateness <br />• Provide media relations and guidance <br />• Provide communications support to the Port of Redwood City and Silicon Valley <br />Clean Water <br />• Coordinate production and placement of display advertising <br />• Be available to act as Public Information Officer on-site in the event of an <br />urgent/emergency issue, organize and implement news conferences, take media <br />calls, provide crisis communications, coordinate and organize the City's efforts to <br />address the media/public communications elements of the issue <br />Graphic Design Projects: <br />• Provide direction over graphic design projects that are currently being developed <br />• Other items as needed. <br />REV: 08-27-19 VR <br />ATTY/AGR.2019.221/Debra Hall Consulting (Page 9 of 10) <br />
