Your application is for a Use Permit and an Architectural Permit to modify an existing wireless telecommunications facility located on property that is owned by the City of Redwood City at 555 California Way. Wireless communications facilities are permitted under Article 38.3 of the City of Redwood City Zoning Code with the approval of a Use Permit, and under Article 38.5 with the approval of an Architectural Permit. The subject property is comprised of approximately 105,100 square feet and is located within the Residential Hillside /20,000 square -foot minimum lot size (RH -20) Zoning District. The existing facility consists of one (1) 18 -foot tall monopole and a 10 ft. x 16 ft. equipment shelter enclosed by a 6 -foot high chain link fence located adjacent to a water tank.
