0 3/22/201 0 <br />201 <br />ORIGINAL <br />RESOLUTION NO. 15009 <br />RESOLUTION ACKNOWLEDGING A CLIMATE CTI I PLAN FOR <br />THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />WHEREAS, in Spring 2009 the city established a climate Action Advisory Team <br />consisting of community members and staffed by the city's Environmental Initiatives <br />Manager with the purpose of creating a Plan that would have broad community support <br />and that would identify actions that mould reduce the community's impact on climate <br />charge; and <br />WHEREAS, the planning process included wide community outreach through <br />focus groups and also the efforts of the Stanford Urban Studies students to create <br />informational resources and website content; and <br />WHEREAS, the climate Action flan sets a community target to reduce <br />greenhouse gas emissions by 5 from today's levels b the year 2020. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITE' <br />OF REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. The "Redwood city Community Climate Action Dian" is acknowledged to <br />provide tools and encouragement to Redwood city residents and businesses to reduce <br />greenhouse gas emissions.
