06/28/2010 <br />ORIGINAL <br />RESOLUTION NO. 15032 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY AUTHORIZING CONTRACTUAL OBLIGATIONS TO BE <br />PAID FROM JULY 1, 2010 UNTIL THE 2010 -2011 BUDGET IS <br />ADOPTED <br />WHEREAS, the City Council is evaluating the proposed budget for Fiscal year 2010- <br />2011 and proposes to adopt it on July 12, 2010; and <br />WHEREAS, the Council wishes to authorize the City Manager, Redevelopment Agency <br />Director, and Finance Director to pay obligations pending the final budget adoption. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. The City Manager, Redevelopment Agency Director, and Finance Director are <br />authorized and directed to charge expenses incurred prior to July 1, 2010 to the appropriations <br />of Fiscal Year 2009 -2010 for the City and Redevelopment Agency budgets. The City Manager, <br />Redevelopment Agency Director, and Finance Director are further authorized to pay all <br />contractual obligations, including but not limited to payroll, contracts, and other expenses <br />incurred between July 1, 2010 and the date that the appropriations are adopted for Fiscal Year <br />2010 -2011; to this end the City Council, on behalf of the City and the Redevelopment Agency, <br />appropriates 1/12 of the amounts that were appropriated for operating purposes in Fiscal Year <br />2009 -2010 to each fund.
