05/02/2011 projects included in the Action Plan and determined that the activities conform to the City's General Plan; and WHEREAS, pursuant to the requirements of Section 104(a) of the Act, the City has followed its Citizen Participation Plan as part of the process for determining how the grant funds herein referenced will be used, and WHEREAS, on May 2, 2011, the Council then held a public hearing as to all matters included in the staff report of the same date; and WHEREAS, this Council desires to approve the Action Plan and the Application for a Community Development Block Grant and HOME Investment Partnership Grant, and to authorize the execution of all documents pertaining thereto, including all understandings and assurances connected therewith. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: 1. The Action Plan and Application prepared for submission to the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development for a Community Development Block Grant pursuant to Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, and the HOME Investment Partnership Grant pursuant to the National Affordable Housing Act of 1992, copies of which as well as the Consolidated Plan are on file in the office of the Community Development Services Department of the City of Redwood City, are hereby approved. 2. The City Council does hereby certify that the City of Redwood City has followed its adopted Citizen Participation Plan as required by Section 104(a) of the Act. 3. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute and file the Application and all related documents, including all understandings and assurances necessary or appropriate in connection therewith, and to provide such additional information as may be required for and on behalf of the City of Redwood City. 4.
