05/23/2011 RESOLUTION 15110 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AUTHORIZING CONTINUED PARTICIPATION IN THE CITY/ COUNTY ASSOCIATION OF GOVERNMENTS OF SAN MATEO COUNTY (C /CAG), APPROVING THE JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT the City/ County Association of Governments of San Mateo County (C /CAG) was formed as a joint powers agency to deal with county -wide issues and concerns that affect the quality of life in general; transportation, air quality, stormwater runoff, hazardous waste, solid waste and recycling, land use near airports, and abandoned vehicle abatement; and the City of Redwood City has been a member of C /CAG since its inception in 1991; and

05/23/2011 <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: <br /> SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Redwood City finds and declares that <br /> the above recitals are true and correct and incorporates them herein. <br /> SECTION 2. The City Council of the City of Redwood City hereby approves and <br /> authorizes the City Manager to execute the proposed C /CAG Joint Powers Agreement <br /> Continuing Establishment of the City /County Association of Governments in the form <br /> attached hereto as Exhibit A, subject to any non - substantive changes approved by the City <br /> Attorney. <br /> SECTION 3.
