� <br /> oai22i2o1 i <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 15135 <br /> RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> COMMITTING THE CITY TO THE FINANCIAL AND LEGAL <br /> OBLIGATIONS ASSOCIATED WITH THE RECEIPT OF FEDERAL <br /> FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FROM THE BUREAU OF RECLAMATION <br /> FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF FEASIBILITY STUDIES AND <br /> ASSOCIATED ENVIRONMENTAL ACTIVITIES UNDER THE TITLE XVI <br /> WATER RECLAMATION AND REUSE PROGRAM. <br /> WHEREAS, Redwood City is committed to expanding the use of recycled water <br /> in the Ciry's water service area; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City has submitted grant applications for Federal financial <br /> �� assistance from the Bureau of Reclamation for the development of feasibility studies <br /> and associated environmental activities for the Federal Title XVI Water Reclamation and <br /> Reuse Program for the Redwood City Recycled Water Project; and <br /> WHEREAS, the grant applications require the City Council to support the <br /> applications and provide financial commitment for the non-federal portion of the cost of <br /> aforesaid activities; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City has determined that it has the ability to provide the funding <br /> for costs of the non-federal portion of the aforesaid activities; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council authorizes the City Manager to enter into an <br /> agreement with the Bureau of Reclamation, and to implement the provisions of said <br /> agreement. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1. Upon award of Federal financial assistance, the City Manager is hereby <br /> authorized and directed to enter into an agreement with the Bureau of <br /> Reclamation for the funding of the feasibility studies and associated <br /> environmental activities for the Redwood City Recycled Water Project. <br /> 2. The City is capable of, and committed to, providing the non-federal share of <br /> the cost of conducting the feasibility studies and associated environmental <br /> activities for the Redwood City Recycled Water Project, in the amount of <br /> $94,700, with the Bureau of Reclamations portion also at approximately <br /> $94,700. <br /> ATTY/RES0.2148/ RWC RECYCLED WATER PROJECT RESO # 75135 <br /> �� MUFF # 505 <br /> 1 <br />
