I 1711118 1iyfi WHEREAS, the establishment of an Architectural Advisory Committee ("AAC") in accordance with the provisions set forth herein will facilitate the decision-making process relating to the approval of developments in the City. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: 1. Resolution Nos. 11497, 12977, and 13632 Rescinded. Resolution No. 13632, adopted by this Council on May 18, 1999, entitled, "Resolution Rescinding Resolutions No. 11497 and 12977 and Establishing Architectural Review Committee," shall be, and is hereby, rescinded, except to as to the decision articulated in Resolution No. 13632 to rescind prior resolutions relating to the Architectural Advisory Committee which action remains in effect and undisturbed. The prior resolutions that were rescinded are as follows: Resolution No. 11497 (adopted by this Council on March 26, 1991, entitled "Resolution Establishing Architectural Advisory Committee,") and Resolution No. 12977 (adopted by this Council on December 17, entitled "Resolution Amending Section 2 of Resolution No. 11497, Establishing Architectural Advisory Committee to Revise the Terms of Members Thereto". 2. Architectural Advisory Committee. The Architectural Advisory Committee of the City of Redwood City shall consist of five members. All five members of the AAC shall be licensed architects or landscape architects residing or working in the City of Redwood City, or its sphere of influence (as described by and in the General Plan of the City of Redwood City). The members of the committee shall be appointed by the Planning Commission following oral interview and in consideration of professional qualifications and civic interests as the Planning Commission deems appropriate. All members of the Committee appointed after adoption of Resolution 15143 shall continue in their appointments until his or her term has expired regardless of whether the member is or is not a licensed architects or landscape architect residing or working in the City of Redwood City or its sphere of influence. The qualifications for appointment shall otherwise be followed as set forth in Resolution 15143 (as per Resolution No. 15223). 3. Terms of Membership. The term of office of each member of the Architectural Advisory Committee shall be four (4) four years, expiring on May 31 of the fourth year; provided, however, that appointments to the Committee shall be made such that terms shall expire in even -numbered years. The members in good standing of the Architectural Review Committee shall constitute the members of the Architectural Advisory Committee. Each member of the Architectural Review Committee shall continue serving his/her term commenced as a member of the Architectural Advisory Committee until the expiration of his/her term.
