12/OS/2011 <br /> Measure "I": To preserve funding for general city services such as libraries, <br /> parks, street repairs, and public safety, and support other fundamental City <br /> services, shall an ordinance be adopted increasing the Transient Occupancy Tax <br /> ("Hotel Tax") charged to hotel guests in Redwood City from the current rate of 10% <br /> to a new rate of 12%, with proceeds placed in the City's General Fund which is <br /> subject to the City's annual independent financial audit? <br /> Measure "K" - Shall the City Charter be amended so that the City of <br /> Redwood City may, like the majority of cities subject to the general laws of the <br /> state, buy, sell, lease, and dispose of its real and personal property for the common <br /> benefit with the approval of a majority of its City Council, and enact additional rules <br /> by ordinance for this purpose? <br /> Measure "M"; To preserve funding for general city services such as <br /> libraries, parks, and public safety, shall an ordinance be approved increasing, over <br /> three years, the business license tax rates by $21 plus $15 per employee (with a <br /> similar increase for businesses not taxed on a per employee basis) annually <br /> adjusted thereafter based on the Consumer Price Index, with proceeds placed in <br /> the City's General Fund, subject to City's annual independent financial audit? <br /> 5. That as a result of the election, a majority of the voters voting on the Measures <br /> did vote in favor of the Measures and were carried and shall be deemed adopted and <br /> ratified; and that a majority of the voters voting on the Measure relating to the Ordinances <br /> (Measures "I" and "M") did vote in favor of the Measures and were carried and shall be <br /> deemed adopted and ratified. <br /> Measure "I" 6061 <br /> Measure "K" 4876 <br /> Measure "M" 4554 <br /> 6. The City Clerk shall enter on the records of the City Council of the City, a <br /> statement of the results of the election, showing: (1) the whole number of ballots cast in <br /> the City; (2) the names of persons voted for; (3) the Measures voted upon; (4) for what <br /> o�ce each person was voted for; (5) the number of votes given at each precinct to each <br /> person, and for and against each measure; (6) the total number of votes given to each <br /> person, and for and against each Measure. <br /> 7. The City Clerk shall make and deliver to each of the persons so elected a <br /> Certificate of Election, signed by the City Clerk and authenticated; that the City Clerk shall <br /> also administer to each person elected the Oath of Office prescribed in the Constitution of <br /> the State of California and shall have each of them subscribe to it and file it in the office of <br /> the City Clerk.
