09/10/2012 <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 15213 <br /> RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY APPROVING AN <br /> AMENDMENT TO THE FY2012-13 CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND BUDGET TO <br /> PROVIDE AN APPROPRIATION FOR FUNDING THE BLOCK 2 <br /> DEVELOPMENT PROJECT <br /> WHEREAS, on May 21, 2012, the City Council selected the development firm of Hunter <br /> Storm to negotiate a Disposition and Development Agreement for the City-owned <br /> property commonly known as Block 2; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council acknowledges that for the effective and efficient delivery of <br /> this critical downtown development project that professional project management skills <br /> and service best serve the public interest; and <br /> WHEREAS, Vanir Construction Management, Inc., was selected from a public Request <br /> for Proposals process and recommended by staff as the preferred professional services <br /> organization for these necessary services; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Adopted FY 2012-13 Capital Projects Fund budget does not include an <br /> appropriation for this anticipated Project; however, funding will be provided by a <br /> contribution from the developer. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1. Amends the FY 2012-13 Capital Projects Fund budget to provide an <br /> appropriation in the amount of$30,000 for funding the Block 2 Development <br /> Project. <br /> 2.
