ATTACHAIIENT 013 I <br /> os/o,Izo�i <br /> ORiGINAL <br /> I <br /> RESt)LUTION N0. 1509$ <br /> RES�JLUTION OF 'fHE CITY COUNCI� OF THE CITY OF � <br /> REDWOOD ClTY AUTHORIZING THE C1TY OF REDWC)OD CITY <br /> TO BECOME A MEMBER OF A CC?UNTYWiDE SUB-REGION, <br /> AN EhITlTY THAT WOUL.D LOCALLY ADMINISTER ABAG'S <br /> REGICaNAL HUUSING NEEDS ALLOCATtON PROCESS (RHNA) <br /> AS PART OF THE REGIONAL SUSTAINABLE COMMUNITIES <br /> STRATEGY. <br /> WHEREAS, SB 375 requires the development ofi a Sustainab(e <br /> Community Strategy including consistency every eight years wi#h the Regional <br /> Housing Needs Aflacation pracess; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Assoctation of Bay Areas Govemments {ABAG) is <br /> required by State law to administe� the Regianal Housing Needs Allocation <br /> program in the Bay Area, and <br /> WHEREAS, ABAG has begun preliminary work on developing the <br /> pragram with the objective of completing the program in August of 2012; and <br /> ! WHEREAS, State law atlows administratian of the program to lacal <br /> jurisdictions who create sub-regions far the purposes of distributing housing need <br /> ailocations among the members of the sub-region; and <br /> WHEREAS, a sub-region is defined as two or more cfies in a County or <br /> any combinatian of geographically contiguous local govemments; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City desires to become part of a sub- <br /> region in San Mateo County; and <br /> WHERA�, the City/County Association of Governments af San Mateo <br /> i <br /> Caunty(C/CAG)witl facilitate and provlde staff suppart; and <br /> WHEREAS, each member of a sub-region must adopt a �esolutian <br /> authorizing its inclusion in the sub-region; and <br /> ' WHEREAS, adopted resolutions must be sent to ABAG by Macch 18, <br /> 2Q11; and <br /> ATTYIRES0.2103 AUTHORIZATION #15098 <br /> 022211 MUFF#405 <br /> � RESO.#15241 <br /> MUFF#601 <br />
