06/10/2013 <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 15271 <br /> RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> EXTENDING THE EXPIRING TERMS OF THE MEMBERS OF THE CITY <br /> PLANNING COMMISSION UNTIL THEIR SUCCESSORS ARE <br /> APPOINTED AND QUALIFIED <br /> WHEREAS, Section 17 of the City Charter provides that there shall be a planning <br /> commission, which shall consist of seven members, who shall be appointed by the <br /> Council to serve for four (4) years each, and thereafter until their respective successors <br /> are appointed and qualified; and <br /> WHEREAS, The City Council wishes to extend the expiring terms for members of <br /> the Planning Commission whose terms are expiring June 30, 2013, and shall be <br /> extended until their successors are appointed and qualified, which shall be no earlier <br /> than January 1, 2014 and no later than January 31, 2014; and <br /> WHEREAS, the incoming successors to these members will serve the remainder <br /> of the term through June 30, 2017. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF FEDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: <br /> The City Council extends the terms of Planning Commission members whose <br /> terms are expiring June 30, 2013, until their successors are appointed and qualified, <br /> which shall be no earlier than January 1, 2014 and no later than January 31, 2014, and <br /> further, the incoming successors to these members when appointed will serve the <br /> remainder of their terms through June 30, 2017. <br /> * * � <br /> ATTY/RES0.2870/PC TERM EXTENDED RESO,#15271 <br /> REV: 06-05-13 PT MUFF#209 <br />
