06/24/2013 <br /> AG REEM ENT <br /> TRANSFER OF FIRE SERV/CES PERSONNEL <br /> from the City of San Carlos to City of Redwood City <br /> This Agreement is entered into by and between the City of San Carlos ("San Carlos") and the City of <br /> Redwood City("Redwood City")for the Transfer of Fire Services Personnel,on this day of_ <br /> , 2013. San Carlos and Redwood City are collectively referred to herein as the "parties." <br /> WITNESSETH: <br /> WHEREAS,San Carlos desires to contract for the performance of the agreed upon fire services within its <br /> boundaries by Redwood City and has so contracted by separate agreement entitled'Amended and Restated <br /> Agreement between Cities of Redwood City and San Carlos for Fire&Emergency Services"and dated <br /> � <br /> WHEREAS, this Agreement is authorized by the provisions of Sections 54981, et seq. of the California <br /> Government Code: <br /> WHEREAS, the following terms are intended to address all personnel and labor related issues pertaining <br /> to the 'Amended and Restated Agreement between Cities of Redwood City and San Carlos for Fire & <br /> Emergency Services';• <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBYAGREED BY THE PARTIES HERETO AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1. EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> 1.1 The effective date of this Agreement will be JULY 1, 2013 or the date this Agreement is <br /> executed by the Cities of San Carlos and Redwood City,whichever is later. <br /> 1.2 If the Agreements referred to herein, have not been executed by the parties prior to 0001 <br /> hours on the planned transfer date of JULY 1, 2013, this Agreement will terminate <br /> automatically and be of no further effect,unless the parties, by written agreement extend the <br /> Transfer Date. <br /> 2.
