RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY (1) APPROVING, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE, THE AMENDED AND RESTATED AGREEMENT BETWEEN CITIES OF REDWOOD CITY AND SAN CARLOS FOR FIRE & EMERGENCY SERVICES, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE AND EXECUTE AN ANNUAL UPDATED EXHIBIT C TO THE AMENDED AND RESTATED AGREEMENT, AND (2) APPROVING, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE, THE AGREEMENT FOR TRANSFER OF FIRE SERVICES PERSONNEL FROM THE CITY OF SAN CARLOS TO CITY OF REDWOOD CITY

06/24/2013 <br /> 2.13 PERSONNEL FILES <br /> San Carlos employee personnel files for the above-listed San Carlos Firefighters, Fire Captains <br /> and Emergency Preparedness &Outreach Coordinator will be sealed and maintained by San <br /> Carlos in accordance with record retention requirements.One copy of each personnel file will <br /> be transferred to the Redwood City Human Resources department. <br /> 2.14 TRAINING <br /> Redwood City will provide orientation to San Carlos employees while on duty for the City of <br /> San Carlos in advance of employee's start date with Redwood City, as long as there is no <br /> adverse impact to operations. <br /> 2.15 EDUCATION INCENTIVE <br /> Pursuant to the MOU between Redwood City and IAFF, up to five (5)years of full-time,year- <br /> round service with any recognized California Fire Department,or other comparable agency as <br /> determined by the City of Redwood City Fire Department administration, will be considered <br /> "service" for the purpose of determining Firefighter and Fire Captain eligibility for Redwood <br /> City's Educational Incentive. <br /> 2.16 UNIFORM <br /> The Emergency Preparedness & Outreach Coordinator will be eligible for Redwood City <br /> reimbursement for uniform expenses up to six hundred dollars($600) per fiscal year. <br /> 2.17 CALL BACK OVERTIME <br /> The Emergency Preparedness &Outreach Coordinator will be eligible for Call Back Overtime <br /> in accordance with the MOU between Redwood City and RCMEA, pro-rated upon date of hire <br /> by Redwood City. <br /> 2.18 NO OBLIGATION CLAUSE <br /> Other than the above terms,the parties agree that Redwood City will assume no responsibility <br /> or obligation to (a)fulfill partially or fully vested employment benefits earned by employees <br /> during service to San Carlos or other employer, (b) maintain employment of employees <br /> referenced herein over a certain period of time, or(c)fulfill promises made to employees by <br /> San Carlos or other employer. The parties agree that all Redwood City terms and conditions <br /> of employment are subject to change at any time. <br /> 3. INDEMNITY. <br /> 3.1 San Carlos will defend, hold harmless and indemnify Redwood City,its officers,agents and/or <br /> employees from any and all claims for injuries to persons and/or damage to property which <br /> arise out of the terms and conditions of this Agreement and which result from the negligent <br /> acts or omissions of San Carlos, its officers, agents and/or employees. In addition, San Carlos <br /> will defend, hold harmless and indemnify Redwood City, its officers, agents, and/or <br /> RESO.#15272 <br /> MUFF#304 <br />
