_ _. _ _ . _ <br /> 11/18/2013 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 13-01 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE HISTORIC RESOURCES ADVISORY <br /> COMMITTEE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY DETERMINING <br /> THAT THE PROPOSED PRQJECT AT 525 MIDDLEFIED ROAD <br /> WILL NOT HAVE AN ADVERSE IMPACT ON THE ADJACENT <br /> HISTORIC RESOURCE AT 605 MIDDLEFIELD ROAD <br /> PURSUANT TO SECTlON 2.1.4.D OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br /> CITY'S DOWNTOWN PRECISE PLAN <br /> WHEREAS, Applicant, Downtown RWC Res, LLC has applied for a <br /> Downtown Planned Community Permit for the construction of a new 471-dwelling <br /> unit residential project at 525 Middlefield Road, which consists of ten floors and a <br /> 599-stall subterranean parking garage (the Project) which is adjacent to 605 <br /> Middlefield Road, which is identified in the Downtown Precise Plan as a "Historic <br /> Resource which may be Altered, Relocated or Removed"; and <br /> WHEREAS, under section 2.1.4.D each proposed development adjacent <br /> to historic resources that require discretionary approval shall be reviewed by a <br /> qualified architect or architectural historian, approved by the City, and meeting <br /> the Secretary of Interior's Professional Qualification Standards and by the City's <br /> Historic Resources Advisory Committee (HRAC) for its potential impaots on the <br /> adjacent historic resources; and <br /> WHEREAS, on August 14, 2013, the HRAC conducted a public <br /> meeting, in accordance with all applicable requirements of State Law to review <br /> the report (Exhibit A) prepared by Richard Brandi, an Architectural Historian, <br /> approved by the Office of Historic Preservation and meeting the Secretary of <br /> Interior's Professional Quali�cations Standards (36 CFR part 6) to determine <br /> whether the proposed Project would have an adverse impact on the historic <br /> resource 605 Middlefield Road. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HISTORIC <br /> RESOURCES ADVISORY COMMITTEE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1. The HRAC hereby recommends consistent with the <br /> recommendation of Richard Brandi, Architectural Historian, that the Planning <br /> Commission find that the Project will not have an adverse impact on the historic <br /> resource of 605 Middlefield Road. <br /> Section 2.
