05/12/2014 <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 15342 <br /> RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> REDWOOD CITY WAIVING NOTICE OF THE COUNTY OF SAN <br /> MATEO'S LEASE OF REAL PROPERTY LOCATED AT 727 <br /> SHASTA STREET, REDWOOD CITY <br /> WHEREAS, California Government Code § 25351, subd. (b), provides <br /> that whenever the board of supervisors of a county decides to enter into a lease <br /> of an existing building within the incorporated territory of a city, the board shall <br /> notify in writing, at least 60 days prior to going to bid or entering into a lease, the <br /> city clerk of the city where the building is to be constructed, expanded, or leased, <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, California Government Code § 25351, subd. (d), provides <br /> that the 60-day notification requirements imposed by subdivisions (b) and (c) <br /> may be waived if the city council consents, by resolution, thereto, and <br /> WHEREAS, the County of San Mateo has notified the city clerk that the <br /> County plans to enter into a lease for the premises located at 727 Shasta Street, <br /> Redwood City, which lease would provide that the premises are to be used as <br /> Behavioral Health and Recovery Services Youth Counseling and administrative <br /> offices, and <br /> WHEREAS, the County of San Mateo has requested that the City waive <br /> the 60-day notification requirement, and this City Council has considered said <br /> request and wishes to comply and to waive the 60-day notice. <br /> NOW THEREFORE IT IS RESOLVED AND DETERMINED THAT <br /> pursuant to Government Code § 25351, subd.
