10/20/2014 <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 15376 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> REDWOOD CITY TO ADOPT THE NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR <br /> THE REDWOOD CITY 2015-2023 HOUSING ELEMENT AND TO <br /> ADOPT THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY DRAFT 2015-2023 HOUSING <br /> ELEMENT <br /> WHEREAS , the City has undertaken a process to update the City of Redwood <br /> City's Housing Element in accordance with State law; and <br /> WHEREAS , on December 3 , 2013 , the City held an outreach meeting with the <br /> community on housing issues and concerns; and <br /> WHEREAS , on June 3, 2014 , the Planning Commission reviewed the Public <br /> Review draft of the Housing Element and provided comments and direction ; and <br /> WHEREAS , on August 28 , 2014 , the Department of Housing and Community <br /> Development issued a letter confirming that the revised City of Redwood City Draft <br /> Housing Element is in compliance with state law; and <br /> WHEREAS, on August 22 , 2014 , an Initial Study and Negative Declaration <br /> ( IS/ND) was prepared and circulated for a 30-day review period and this circulation was <br /> advertised in the local newspaper, recorded with the County, and sent to the State <br /> Clearinghouse; and <br /> WHEREAS, on September 5 , 2014, a public hearing notice was published in The <br /> Redwood City Daily News and emailed to interested parties; and <br /> WHEREAS , on September 16, 2014 , the Planning Commission of the City of <br /> Redwood City held a duly noticed public hearing in accordance with all applicable <br /> requirements of the State Planning and Zoning Law and the Redwood City Zoning <br /> Ordinance ; and <br /> WHEREAS, on October 20 , 2014 , the City Council of the City of Redwood City <br /> held a duly noticed public hearing in accordance with all applicable requirements of the <br /> State Planning and Zoning Law and the Redwood City Zoning Ordinance, <br /> WHEREAS , on October 20 , 2014 , interested parties were given the opportunity <br /> to participate in the public hearing through oral testimony and the submittal of written <br /> comments ; and <br /> ATTY/RES0.3032/CC RESO 2015-2023 HOUSING ELEMENT RESO. # 15376 <br /> REV: 10-13-14 VR MUFF # 301 <br /> Page 1 of 3 <br />
