04/13/2015
7.3.A. - Page 8
1606 Middlefield Road Relocation Plan
INTRODUCTION
The City of Redwood City ("City") has acquired a single-family dwelling for future
public use ("Project").
The Project will comply with all of the General Plan guidelines and zoning
requirements and will conform to the adjacent land uses. There is no foreseen
negative impact on the surrounding neighborhood.
As a result of the acquisition of the single-family dwelling, up to four residential
tenants will have to be permanently displaced for this Project to go forward. The
residential tenants will be displaced pursuant to this Relocation Plan.
The Project site which is the subject of this Relocation Plan is located in
Redwood City, in the County of San Mateo. The subject property is located at
1606 Middlefield Road, adjacent to Jardin de Ninos Park, south of Middlefield
Road and east of Cedar Street, near downtown Redwood City. The City is
exploring the use of the proposed Project site for a variety of public purposes.
Please see Attachment 1 for the project site location.
Autotemp, an experienced acquisition and relocation firm, has been selected to
prepare this Relocation Plan (Plan), and will provide all subsequently required
relocation assistance. In compliance with statutory requirements, the Plan has
been prepared to evaluate the present circumstances and replacement housing
requirements of the current Project residential tenants.
This Plan provides for the results of a needs assessment survey, its incorporation
into the planning process, and details of the City's proposed relocation plan. This
Plan sets forth policies and procedures necessary to conform to statutes and
regulations established by the Uniform Relocation Act ("URA") (46 U.S.C. § 4600
et seq.), its implementing regulations (49 C.F.R.) Part 24), the California
Relocation Assistance Law, California Government Code Section 7260 et seq
(the "CRAL") and the California Relocation Assistance and Real Property
Acquisition Guidelines, Title 25, California Code of Regulations, Chapter 6,
Section 6000 et seq. (the "Guidelines") for residential displacements.
PREPARED BY AUTOTEMP 2
2 RESO.#15397
MUFF#609
