10/12/2015 <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 15448 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br /> CITY REVISING IN-LIEU PARKING FEE FOR THE DOWNTOWN <br /> PARKING ZONE <br /> WHEREAS, on or about April 3, 2006 the City Council of the City of Redwood City <br /> adopted an ordinance to establish an In-Lieu Parking Fee Program in the Downtown <br /> Parking Zone in order to provide an alternative means of satisfying such requirements for <br /> approved developments through payment of the In-Lieu Parking Fee; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City contracted with TJKM Transportation <br /> consultants to complete an In-Lieu Parking Fee Study; and <br /> WHEREAS, the In-Lieu Parking Fee Study determined that the current fee of <br /> $10,000 per space does not reflect the true cost of providing a new parking space; and <br /> WHEREAS, Article 30 of the Zoning Ordinance vests the City Council of the City <br /> of Redwood City with the authority and responsibility to set the In-Lieu Parking Fee by <br /> Resolution. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1. The In-Lieu Parking Fee Study is accepted. <br /> 2. The In-Lieu Parking Fee shall be Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars ($25,000) per <br /> required parking space. <br /> 3. This Resolution supersedes Resolution No. 14701, adopted on April 4, 2006. <br /> 4.
