05/09/2016 <br /> EXHIBIT A <br /> City of Redwood City Policy Regarding Unauthorized Berthing and <br /> Unauthorized Berthing Fees and Costs at Docktown Marina ("Policy") <br /> 1. Definition: <br /> a. "Unauthorized Berthing": An "Unauthorized Berthing" occurs when a <br /> boat berths at Docktown Marina ("Docktown") unlawfully or without the <br /> written consent and authorization of the City of Redwood City ("City"). <br /> b. "Boat": The term "Boat" includes all manner of vessel, watercraft, <br /> motorized or not, including but not limited to, "floating homes" and <br /> similar floating watercraft. <br /> 2. Unauthorized Berthing: Any Boat that is berthed at Docktown Marina <br /> unlawfully or without the written consent and authorization of the City will be subject to <br /> payment of an Unauthorized Berthing Fee and/or removal or securing in place of the <br /> Boat. <br /> 3. Unauthorized Berthing Fee: Beginning on April 1, 2016, any Boat that is <br /> deemed by the City to be engaged in Unauthorized Berthing will incur an Unauthorized <br /> Berthing Fee of thirty dollars ($30.00) per day upon notice issued pursuant to Section 4 <br /> of this Policy; <br /> 4. Unauthorized Berthing Notice: The City will notify any Boat that is <br /> engaged in Unauthorized Berthing that it is in violation of this Policy and subject to fees <br /> by posting an Unauthorized Berthing Notice in a conspicuous place on the Boat. <br /> 5. Accrual of Unauthorized Berthing Fees: Unauthorized Berthing Fees <br /> will begin to accrue under this Policy immediately upon the posting of an Unauthorized <br /> Berthing Notice. <br /> 6. Removal or Securing in Place: At the discretion of the City Public Works <br /> Director or his/her designee any Boat that is engaged in Unauthorized Berthing may be <br /> subject to removal or securing in place no less than seven (7) days after an <br /> Unauthorized Berthing Notice has been posted on the Boat.
