12/12/2016 RESOLUTION NO. 15544 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY APPROVING AMENDMENT TO THE CITIZEN PARTICIPATION PLAN WHEREAS, a Citizen Participation Plan was adopted by the City Council on May 2, 1988 by Resolution No. 10780; and WHEREAS , pursuant to the requirements of Section 104(a) of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974 (Pl. 93-383) , as amended ("the Act") , requires jurisdictions to set forth a detailed community participation plan for the City's Community Development Block Grant Program ; and WHEREAS , City has followed its Citizen Participation Plan as part of the process for amending the Citizen Participation Plan to incorporate the Assessment of Fair Housing ; and WHEREAS , a 30-day Request for Citizen Comments on the draft amendments to the Citizen Participation Plan has been published for public comment prior to the Housing and Human Concerns Committee (HHCC) approving the amendments and recommending they be forwarded to Council for approval ; and WHEREAS, on November 16 , 2016 , the Housing and Human Concerns Committee (HHCC) held a public hearing to accept public comments on the draft amendments to the Citizen Participation Plan; and WHEREAS, pursuant to the requirements of Section 104(a) of the Act, the City has followed its Citizen Participation Plan as part of the process for amending . NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS : 1 . In accordance with the requirements of Section 104(a) of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974 (P. L. 93-383) , as amended , this Council does hereby adopt an Amended Community Participation Plan . 2 .
