2/27/2017 <br />5. Research, identify and determine the viability of specific events based upon <br />community demographics and interests; provide recommendations on program <br />changes. <br />6. Recruit, interview, select, hire, train and supervise the work of assigned staff; <br />perform staff evaluations to ensure the program maintains a high quality of <br />services. <br />7. Respond to a variety of questions and requests for information from the public on <br />special event offerings. <br />8. Meet regularly with program partners to provide status updates on activities, <br />respond to any questions and concerns, discuss program adjustments as needed; <br />maintain strong and collaborative relationships with these partners. <br />9. Prepare calendars with regard to program activities, events and resources for use <br />by staff in scheduling and communicating program information to others. <br />10.Assist in the promotion of program activities via the creation of marketing <br />materials, flyers and related documents; use a variety of platforms for <br />communications including emails, websites, radio, television and social media; <br />attend various events to promote services. <br />11. Purchase supplies and equipment for program services, ensuring compliance with <br />budget requirements. <br />12. Monitor event operations to ensure services are properly provided by staff; ensure <br />staff have the tools and materials to perform their work and that all operations are <br />conducted in a safe and healthy environment. <br />13.Coordinate assigned functions and programs with other City departments as well <br />as outside agencies. <br />14. Provide a safe and healthy environment for staff, program participants and the <br />general public; model safe work and play practices. <br />15. Maintain a variety of logs and records on assigned programs. <br />16. Manage sponsor relations, event revenue streams, and event budgets to ensure <br />fiscal goals for self-supporting programs. <br />17.
