08/28/2017 <br />Government Code section 20691 and Government Code section 20516, subdivisions <br />(a) and (f), on behalf of all of its employees who are members of CalPERS. <br />2. "Employee contributions" shall include all of the following: <br />L Contributions to CalPERS which are deducted from the salary of <br />employees and are credited to individual employee's accounts <br />pursuant to Government Code section 20691. <br />ii. Contributions to CalPERS which are deducted from the salary of <br />employees and are credited to individual employee's accounts <br />pursuant to Government Code section 20516(a). <br />iii. Contributions to CalPERS which are deducted from the salary of <br />employees and are credited to City's account pursuant to California <br />Government Code section 20516(f). <br />3. The contributions made by the City, although designated as employee <br />contributions, shall be paid by the City in lieu of contributions by the employees who are <br />members of CalPERS. <br />4. The contributions defined above are mandatory, and employees do not <br />have a cash or deferred election right (or option) with respect to these designated <br />employee contributions. An employee may not elect to receive contributions directly <br />instead of having paid by the City to the CalPERS plan. <br />5.
