11/13/2017 <br />3. The City Council of the City of Redwood City hereby extends the Pilot <br />Program through December 31, 2018. No individual, corporation, partnership, limited <br />liability Company, or other entity may operate PDDs on sidewalks, crosswalks, and public <br />thoroughfares without a PDD permit. <br />4. The City Council hereby approves the Amended Conditions of Approval, <br />attached hereto as Exhibit A. All PDD Permits, including any PDD Permits renewed after <br />this date, shall be subject to the Amended Conditions of Approval. <br />5. The City Council of the City of Redwood City hereby authorizes the City <br />Manager to renew the PDD Permit issued to Starship Technologies, Inc. and to issue any <br />other PDD Permits authorized by this Resolution. <br />6. Two Personal Delivery Permits may be issued and outstanding at any time <br />as part of this Pilot Program. <br />7. Prior to December 31, 2018, staff shall evaluate the Pilot Program and <br />recommend to the City Council whether this program should be continued, expanded, or <br />terminated. <br />8. Subject to the foregoing, the City may at its sole option freely terminate this <br />program or revoke any PDD permit at any time without cause or liability, and without any <br />obligation to pay any consideration to any PDD Operator. Upon any expiration, revocation <br />or termination, any PDD permits shall terminate immediately and any PDD Operator shall <br />immediately stop operations. <br />Page 2 of 10 <br />ATTY/RESO.0098/CC RESOLUTION FOR PILOT EXTENSION RESO.
