11/13/2017 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 15628 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN <br />AMENDMENT TO THE EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT FOR THE CITY <br />ATTORNEY TO PROVIDE FOR AN ADJUSTMENT TO SALARY AND <br />BENEFITS <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to its authority, the Redwood City Council periodically <br />determines whether to make adjustments to the salary and benefits plan for the appointed <br />positions of City Manager, City Attorney, and City Clerk; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has conducted an annual performance evaluation of <br />the City Attorney, and reviewed compensation with respect to survey data of comparable <br />positions in benchmark Cities; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council seeks to acknowledge the performance of the City <br />Attorney and ensure that salary remains competitive and in appropriate alignment with <br />other City classifications; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council seeks to amend Section 5 to correct a clerical error. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. The First Amendment to the City Attorney Employment Agreement, <br />attached hereto as Exhibit A, to effectuate the salary and benefit adjustments is approved; <br />and <br />2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the First Amendment to City <br />Attorney Employment Agreement, attached hereto as Exhibit A. <br />3.
