01/08/2018 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 15638 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY AMENDING THE CITY'S CLASSIFICATION AND SALARY PLAN <br />WHEREAS, the City Council approved amendments to the employment <br />agreements for the City Manager and the City Attorney on November 13, 2017, that <br />included salary increases for both positions; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the Executive Management Summary of Benefits, the <br />Memorandum of Understanding between the Redwood City Management Employees <br />Association and the City of Redwood City, and the Memorandum of Understanding <br />between the Chief Officers Association and the City of Redwood City, the salary ranges <br />for the positions of Community Development Manager — Engineering, Fire Chief, <br />Information Technology Manager shall be adjusted in order to maintain a minimum <br />differential above subordinate classifications; and <br />WHEREAS, the City and Service Employees International Union Local 521 met <br />and conferred and reached agreement on salary, terms and conditions of employment for <br />the new classifications of Water Resources Technician, Lead Water Resources <br />Technician, and Water Resources Specialist; and <br />WHEREAS, effective January 1, 2018 the State minimum wage increased to <br />$11.00 per hour, and the wage ranges for certain hourly and temporary positions must be <br />adjusted accordingly. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. The City's Classification and Salary Plan shall be amended as listed in <br />Exhibit A. <br />2.
