If <br />the available water supply does not meet fire code requirements, water system <br />infrastructure improvements will be required. <br />58. Fire Hydrants - The number and location of Fire Hydrants based on the <br />required fire flow for this project shall be determined utilizing Appendix B <br />and C of the CFC. <br />59. Automatic Fire Sprinklers / Standpipe Systems - The proposed building <br />is required to be equipped with an automatic fire sprinkler system and a <br />standpipe system with connections in stairwells and the roof meeting NFPA <br />Standard 13. Provide plans and hydraulic calculations for the design of the <br />systems. <br />60. Fire Department Connect ions -FDC's to the fire sprinkler / stand pipe <br />systems shall be located at the fire access side of the buildings within 50 <br />feet of a Fire Hydrant. <br />61. Fire Alarm System Required -UL Central Station fully add ressable fire <br />alarm system is required meeting NFPA 72. Provide plan s and voltage drop <br />calculations for the design of these systems. <br />62. Premises Identification (Address Numbers) - Indicate on the plans where <br />the premises identification (address) will be located and the size (minimum 1 <br />2") in a contrasting background facing the street from which the building takes <br />the address CFC 505. <br />63. Portable Fire Extinguishers Required - Portable fire extinguishers, with a <br />minimum classification of 2A: I OBC are required to be permanently installed <br />in all buildings in the common areas within 50 feet of travel from all <br />portions of the building in compliance with NFPA 10 and CFC 906. <br />64. Fire Apparatus Access: <br />a. As the proposed structure exceeds 30 feet in height, at least two <br />means of fire apparatus access shall be provided CFC D 104.1. <br />b. As the proposed structure exceeds 62,000 square feet in area, two <br />separate and approved fire apparatus access roads are required CFC D <br />104.2. <br />C. The width of the required fire apparatus access roads shall be a <br />minimum of 26 feet to accommodate aerial apparatus D 105.2. And have <br />an unobstructed vertical clearance of not less than 13 feet 6 inches <br />503.2.1. The plans indicate trees and landscaping encroaching on the <br />fire access lane.
