Description
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY DESIGNATING RESIDENTIAL PERMIT PARKING AREA "B" FOR PARTS OF CERTAIN STREETS IN THE FRIENDLY ACRES NEIGHBORHOOD BORDERED BY BAY ROAD, BROADWAY, 2ND AVENUE AND 5T" AVENUE; AND AUTHORIZING THE ERECTION OF APPROPRIATE SIGNS AND THE ISSUANCE OF PERMITS FOR SAID AREA The City of Redwood City in 1985 adopted the Residential Parking Permit Program codified in the City's Municipal Code in Chapter 20, Article 7, Division 11 to discourage long-term parking by people who do not live in the residential neighborhood; and the City received a petition requesting creation of a residential parking permit area in the Friendly Acres neighborhood; and the City collected parking occupancy data which demonstrated that parking was being negatively impacted by the adjacent commercial areas, commute

Pursuant to the provisions of Sections 20.201, 20.202 and 20.203 of <br />the Municipal Code of the City of Redwood City, the Director of Finance shall issue <br />residential parking permits and temporary or guest permits for the residential permit <br />parking area designated by this resolution. <br />Section 4.
