8/27/2018 <br />WHEREAS, pre-existing Special Event Fees in place prior to May 8, 2017, <br />when the new fee schedule was adopted, will continue to apply. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1. New Special Event Fees adopted on May 8, 2017 by <br />Resolution 15583 charged to organizations that host events open to the public <br />shall be delayed in their application for a period of six (6) months upon the <br />adoption of this resolution until February 27, 2019 ("Initial Period"). Pre-existing <br />special event fees in place prior to May 8, 2017 will continue to be applied. <br />SECTION 2. The City Manager of the City of Redwood City shall be <br />authorized to extend the delay of applying new Special Event Fees to <br />organizations that host events open to the public for an additional period of six <br />(6) months following the expiration of the Initial Period until August 27, 2019, if <br />necessary in order to allow the City Council's Ad Hoc Committee to provide <br />recommendations to the full Council. <br />SECTION 3.
