04/08/2019 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 15750 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY AUTHORIZING STANFORD UNIVERSITY AND STANFORD <br />HEALTH CARE TO CONDUCT PRIVATE ENFORCEMENT OF PARKING <br />REGULATIONS AT SPECIFIED OFF STREET PARKING FACILITIES IN <br />THE STANFORD IN REDWOOD CITY PRECISE PLAN AREA <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of the Leland Stanford Junior University and <br />Stanford Health Care (collectively "Stanford") desire to assume responsibility for parking <br />enforcement at parking facilities in the Stanford in Redwood City Precise Plan Area that <br />are generally available for public use; and <br />WHEREAS, Stanford requests an arrangement similar to that authorized for <br />certain parking facilities in Palo Alto under a Resolution of the Palo Alto City Council and <br />as further described in the staff report; and <br />WHEREAS, Stanford intends that most or all of its parking facilities in the Stanford <br />in Redwood City Precise Plan Area will be generally available for public use during <br />business hours although some surface parking is currently reserved for construction <br />crews and for operators of the Central Energy Facility. All other parking lots and structures <br />in the Precise Plan Area, including the parking structures at 2855 Bay Road and 510-550 <br />Broadway, are currently generally available for public use during business hours. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. Findings and Declarations. <br />a. The off-street parking facilities located in the Stanford in Redwood City <br />Precise Plan Area, which is depicted on Exhibit "A" attached hereto and <br />incorporated by reference, are generally held open for public vehicular <br />parking and are privately -owned and maintained by Stanford (collectively, <br />the "Stanford Public Parking Facilities"). The current assessors' parcel <br />numbers for the Stanford in Redwood City Precise Plan Area are: <br />• APN 054-150-180; <br />• APN 054-150-190; <br />• APN 054-150-210; <br />• APN 054-150-220; <br />• APN 054-150-230; <br />• APN 054-150-240; <br />Page 1 of 5 <br />ATTY/RES0.0026/ CC RESO STANFORD PARKING REGULATIONS RESO.
