07/22/2019 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 15789 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> REDWOOD CITY APPROPRIATING AND TRANSFERRING CERTAIN <br /> FUNDS FOR SPECIFIED PURPOSES DURING FISCAL YEAR <br /> 2019/2020 <br /> WHEREAS, during the course of a fiscal year, the City Council may take <br /> actions that change or modify the City's existing and approved budgets; and <br /> WHEREAS, grants and revenue are received during the course of the fiscal <br /> year which were not anticipated when the City's budgets were first approved; and <br /> WHEREAS, appropriations need to be established in order for staff to utilize <br /> grants and revenues received; and <br /> WHEREAS, Redwood City Public Library staff applied for Library Services and <br /> Technology grant funds administered by the California State Library; and <br /> WHEREAS, after a competitive bidding process, Ninety Nine Thousand Seven <br /> Hundred Sixty Dollars ($99,760) was awarded to the Library; and <br /> WHEREAS, the grant funds will be used to support a pilot program in which <br /> robots will deliver and pick up library materials, with a focus on seniors, persons with <br /> disabilities, or those with mobility issues making it difficult to visit a physical library. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1. The City's budget for Fiscal Year 2019/2020 is hereby amended to <br /> increase the revenue budget for Miscellaneous Grants in the General Fund by Ninety <br /> Nine Thousand Seven Hundred Sixty Dollars ($99,760). <br /> 2. Appropriations in the Library operating budget in the General Fund are <br /> hereby increased by the corresponding amount of ninety Nine Thousand Seven Hundred <br /> Sixty Dollars ($99,760). <br /> 3.
