07/22/2019 RESOLUTION NO. 15789 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY APPROPRIATING AND TRANSFERRING CERTAIN FUNDS FOR SPECIFIED PURPOSES DURING FISCAL YEAR 2019/2020 WHEREAS, during the course of a fiscal year, the City Council may take actions that change or modify the City's existing and approved budgets; and WHEREAS, grants and revenue are received during the course of the fiscal year which were not anticipated when the City's budgets were first approved; and WHEREAS, appropriations need to be established in order for staff to utilize grants and revenues received; and WHEREAS, Redwood City Public Library staff applied for Library Services and Technology grant funds administered by the California State Library; and WHEREAS, after a competitive bidding process, Ninety Nine Thousand Seven Hundred Sixty Dollars ($99,760) was awarded to the Library; and WHEREAS, the grant funds will be used to support a pilot program in which robots will deliver and pick up library materials, with a focus on seniors, persons with disabilities, or those with mobility issues making it difficult to visit a physical library. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: 1. The City's budget for Fiscal Year 2019/2020 is hereby amended to increase the revenue budget for Miscellaneous Grants in the General Fund by Ninety Nine Thousand Seven Hundred Sixty Dollars ($99,760). 2. Appropriations in the Library operating budget in the General Fund are hereby increased by the corresponding amount of ninety Nine Thousand Seven Hundred Sixty Dollars ($99,760). 3.
