09/09/2019 <br />2. Coordinate the preparation of program applications to secure Federal, State, <br />regional, local and corporate funding for housing initiatives. Identify and establish <br />new on-going and one-time funding sources for housing projects and initiatives. <br />3. Develop an awareness of current trends in housing financing methods and seek <br />out financing sources for the construction of affordable housing. <br />4. Oversee the preparation, implementation and compliance of the City's <br />CDBG/HOME Consolidated Action Plan with local, state and federal agencies. <br />5. Work collaboratively with the City's Human Services Division and Police <br />Department, and other agencies and nonprofits to address housing for the <br />homeless community. <br />6. Provide staff assistance and attend the City's Housing and Human Concerns <br />Committee meetings and act as an advisor in developing and recommending local <br />policies and official programmatic actions. <br />7. Develop innovative, creative and practical solutions to long-term housing needs <br />and champion affordable housing development efforts. <br />8. Oversee and monitor programs and projects through all phases and assure <br />compliance with regulations of various local, state and federal agencies; <br />coordinate and monitor cooperation agreements with developers, and local and <br />countywide non-profit agencies. <br />9. Monitor current and proposed federal, state, and local legislation to assess its <br />impact and to develop the City's legislative response either in support of or <br />opposition to such legislation. <br />10. Prepare and present staff reports, resolutions, ordinances, and correspondence <br />regarding housing programs and projects. <br />11. Make presentations before various groups, including City Council, boards, <br />commissions and committees and at public meetings as needed. <br />12. Maintain effective relations with a variety of community organizations, groups, and <br />individuals; working closely with management staff within the City organization and <br />other public, private, and non-profit agencies in the community to provide <br />comprehensive services to residents and to solve a broad range of service <br />delivery, community, and administrative problems. <br />ATTY/RESO.0089/CC RESO TO ESTABLISH NEW CLASSIFICATION <br />REV: 08-28-19 EI <br />Page 3 of 8 <br />RESO.
