<br />Superintendent Christensen introduced the report and Dr. Eileen L. <br />Horng. Dr. Horng then presented the report on how the schools and <br />students are performing throughout the district. <br /> <br />Presentation - Finance Department - Finance and Financial Planning Director <br />Brian Ponty <br /> <br />Director Ponty introduced the presentation and staff members, Araceli <br />Fierro and Ashu Tikekar who made the Revenue and Information <br />Technology presentations, respectively. <br /> <br />Presentation - Premier of Pen TV video "Courthouse Square: The Community's <br />Living Room," 2008 California Redevelopment Association Award of <br />Excellence nomination - Susan Moeller <br /> <br />Redevelopment Manager Moeller explained the video and the plans for <br />its use. <br /> <br />6. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS AND CONSENT <br />COUNCIUREDEVELOPMENT AGENCY BOARD <br /> <br />CALENDAR <br /> <br />CITY <br /> <br />Linda Jolley spoke of Police harassment of homeless people. She stated that she had <br />interviewed Teri Chin, and then read a quote referring to the fact that on any given day <br />a large number of people need shelter that is not available to them. She further stated <br />that she had examined the HOPE program and that we must change the Police policy. <br /> <br />M/S Howard/Aguirre to waive reading of the Consent Calendar except the ordinances <br />by title, adopt the resolutions and the ordinances, and approve other items. The motion <br />passed by a unanimous roll call vote with Item 6.1.C. removed for separate <br />consideration. <br /> <br />6.1 Section - Motions - <br /> <br />A.
