The property was <br />evaluated using criteria from both the California Register of Historic Places and The City of <br />Redwood City Historic Preservation Ordinance. <br /> <br />Evaluation for Significance: <br /> <br />The National R~ter Criteria for Evaluation <br /> <br />The National Register of Historic Places is the official list of properties, structures, districts, and <br />objects significant in American history, architecture, archeology, engineering, and culture. <br />National Register properties have significance to the prehistory and history of their community, <br />State, or Nation. <br /> <br />The National Register Criteria for Evaluation is..."the basis for judging a property's significance <br />for their association with important events or persons, for their impQrtance in design or <br />construction, or for their information potential..." National Register Bulletin 15. The National <br />Register Criteria recognizes the following categories: <br /> <br />4' Associative Value; Criteria A: properties significant for their association or linkages to <br />events <br />9 Associative Value; Criteria B: properties significant for their association to persons <br />important to the past <br />. Design or Construction Value; Criteria C: properties significant as representatives of <br />the manmade expression of culture or technology <br />o Information Value; Criteria D: properties significant for their ability to yield important <br />information about prehistory or history <br />
