Exhibit "A" <br /> <br /> June 3, 1996 <br /> <br />Mr. John Holt <br />42 Iris Street <br />Redwood City, CA 94063 <br /> <br />Dear Mr. Holt <br /> <br />The City Council, on XXXXX, 1996, through Resolution Number XXXXX, <br />authorized me to issue this letter to the Optimist Club of Redwood City, <br />(hereinafter called "Permittee") permitting the closure of streets, to be specified <br />below, for the purpose of conducting an art and wine festival subject to and in <br />accordance with the following terms and conditions: <br /> <br />1. EVENT: An art and wine festival called "THE CLIMATE BEST FEST". <br /> <br />2. REVOCATION: This permit may be revoked at any time without cause by <br /> the City of Redwood City. <br /> <br />3. NON-TRANSFERABILITY: This permit is non-transferable. <br /> <br />4. EVENT CONTROL: Those portions of the event taking place in the public <br /> right-of-way shall occur in a manner and shall be limited to that area <br /> designated by the Chief of Police. If the Chief of Police determines that <br /> the provision of police officers is required for the control of traffic in <br /> connection with said event, permittee agrees to reimburse the City for the <br /> costs of the officers. <br /> <br />5. LOCATION: The festival will require the closing of: <br /> (a) Broadway from Winslow to Main Street <br /> (b) Hamilton Street from Winslow to Marshall <br /> (c) Middlefield Road from Winslow-Middlefield junction to Marshall <br /> (d) Jefferson from Middlefleld to Marshall (no plans for overnight booths) <br /> (e) Wharf Street from Parking Lot to Parkirig Structure <br /> <br /> ** The City is scheduled to begin a comprehensive sidewalk repair <br /> program in August in the Broadway Mall. The Broadway Mall includes the <br /> area of this festival. Because this repair work may impact this event, the <br /> <br /> <br />
