6/12/00 <br />ORIGINAL <br />RESOLUTION NO. i 139 16 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br />OF PURCHASE DOCUMENTS FOR THE PURCHASE AND <br />REPAIR OF 100' AERIAL LADDER TRUCK #8117 <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Redwood City Code Section <br />2.76 this Council has suspended by motion the requirements of Article VII <br />( "Purchasing ") of Chapter 2 of said Code relating to bidding requirements for <br />purchase of supplies and materials with respect to the provision of repairs and <br />materials for an aerial ladder truck; and <br />WHEREAS, the Fire Department requires the flytip (25 foot end section of <br />the ladder) to be replaced; and <br />WHEREAS, this Council desires to approve the purchase and <br />replacement of said flytip of aerial ladder truck #8117 from Allstar Fire Equipment <br />Inc. of Arcadia, California in an amount not to exceed Twenty -three Thousand <br />Five Hundred Ninety -four and 29/100 ($23,594.29) for said purchase and repair; <br />NOW THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. This Council hereby confirms that, pursuant to the provisions of <br />Redwood City Code Section 2.76 the bidding requirements of Article VII <br />(Purchasing) of Chapter 2 of the Code of the City of Redwood City have been <br />suspended with respect to the hereinafter described purchase on the ground that <br />the materials, equipment or supplies to be purchased are of a unique nature and <br />
