7/24/00 <br />ORIGINAL <br />RESOLUTION NO. 13948 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br />OF PURCHASE DOCUMENTS FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE <br />(1) TRANSPORTABLE VACUUM FOR WATER METER BOX <br />MAINTENANCE FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />SERVICES <br />WHEREAS, written bids without public advertisement were solicited for <br />the purchase of one (1) transportable vacuum for water meter box maintenance <br />for the Department of Public Works Services of the City of Redwood City; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said solicitation, three bids were received; and <br />WHEREAS, the Wachs Companies of Wheeling, Illinois, is the lowest <br />responsible bidder and it is the intention and desire of this Council to accept the <br />bid of the Wachs Companies; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. The bid of the Wachs Companies for the purchase of one (1) <br />transportable vacuum for water meter box maintenance to the City of Redwood <br />City in the amount of Twelve Thousand Seven Hundred Fifty and No /100 Dollars <br />($12,750.00) and in accordance with said bidder's proposal dated September 23, <br />1999, is hereby accepted, and said bidder is hereby declared to be the lowest <br />responsible bidder in response to solicitation for bids without advertisement for <br />said transportable vacuum. <br />Reso -934 1 <br />DES:djk <br />F:/Shared/Redwood/Council <br />07/07/00 <br />
