7/24/00 <br />O R I G I N A L <br />RESOLUTION NO. 13953 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR THE 2000 -2001 TRAFFIC <br />SIGNAL LOOP REPLACEMENT PROGRAM; AND <br />AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR SAID <br />WORK <br />WHEREAS, written bids without public advertisement were solicited for <br />the 2000 -2001 Traffic Signal Loop Replacement Program in the City of Redwood <br />City, California; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said solicitation, two bids were received for the <br />performance of said work and filed with the Department of Public Works <br />Services; and <br />WHEREAS, Republic Electric of Novato, California is the lowest <br />responsible bidder, and it is the intention and desire of this Council to award said <br />bid to Republic Electric; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. The bid of Republic Electric, in the total amount of Seventeen <br />Thousand Six Hundred Twenty and No /100 Dollars ($17,620.00), computed in <br />accordance with bidder's proposal dated May 26, 2000 for the 2000 -2001 Traffic <br />Signal Loop Replacement Program, is hereby accepted and said bidder is <br />hereby found and declared to be the lowest responsible bidder for said work. <br />Reso -943 <br />F:\shared \Redwood \Cou ndi <br />DES:djk <br />07111/00 <br />
