8/14/00 <br />O R I G I N A L <br />RESOLUTION NO. 13967 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR THE 1999 -2000 SLURRY <br />SEAL PROJECT; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />AGREEMENT FOR SAID WORK; AND DIRECTING RETURN <br />OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 13924, adopted June 26, 2000, <br />the City Clerk advertised for bids for the 1999 -2000 Slurry Seal Project, <br />Redwood City, California; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said advertisement, four bids were received for <br />the performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and <br />WHEREAS, American Asphalt Repair & Resurfacing Co., Inc. of Hayward, <br />California is the lowest responsible bidder, and it is the intention and desire of <br />this Council to award said bid to American Asphalt Repair & Resurfacing Co., <br />Inc. <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. The bid of American Asphalt Repair & Resurfacing Co., Inc. in the <br />amount of Two Hundred Thousand Fifty -four and 48/100 Dollars ($200,054.48), <br />computed in accordance with bidder's proposal dated July 19, 2000 for the 1999- <br />2000 Slurry Seal Project, is hereby accepted and said bidder is hereby found <br />and declared to be the lowest responsible bidder for said work. <br />Reso -950 1 <br />DES:djk <br />F:/Shared/Redwood/Council <br />07/24/00 <br />
