8/28/00 <br />O R I G I N A L <br />(07/10/00) <br />RESOLUTION NO. 13986 <br />Resolution Approving And Authorizing Execution Of <br />Agreement With Boys and Girls Club of the Peninsula <br />WHEREAS, Boys and Girls Club of the Peninsula is a private, non - profit organization that <br />provides a safe, positive, and fun place to inspire and enable all young people to realize their full potential <br />as productive, responsible and caring citizens, which services are in furtherance of the public health, <br />welfare and benefit; and <br />WHEREAS, Boys and Girls Club of the Peninsula, has requested financial assistance for use by it <br />in conducting its activities during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2000 and ending June 30, 2001; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request and desires to enter into an <br />agreement with Boys and Girls Club of the Peninsula to provide financial assistance in furtherance of its <br />public purposes; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />That certain agreement (form dated 7/10/00), by and between the City of Redwood City and Boys <br />and Girls Club of the Peninsula a copy of which agreement is on file in the office of the City Clerk, to which <br />copy reference is hereby made for full particulars thereof, is hereby approved, and the City Manager is <br />hereby authorized and directed to execute the same for and on behalf of the City of Redwood City. <br />
