8/28/00 <br />O R I G I N A L <br />(07/10/00) <br />RESOLUTION NO. 13988 <br />Resolution Approving And Authorizing Execution Of <br />Agreement With Center for Domestic Violence Prevention <br />WHEREAS, Center for Domestic Violence Prevention is a private, non -profit organization that <br />provides a 24 -Hour Crisis line and a shelter program for battered women and their children, which <br />services are in furtherance of the public health, welfare and benefit; and <br />WHEREAS, Center for Domestic Violence Prevention, has requested financial assistance for use <br />by it in conducting its activities during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2000 and ending June 30, 2001; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request and desires to enter into an <br />agreement with Center for Domestic Violence Prevention to provide financial assistance in furtherance of <br />its public purposes; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />That certain agreement (form dated 7/10/00), by and between the City of Redwood City and <br />Center for Domestic Violence Prevention a copy of which agreement is on file in the office of the City <br />Clerk, to which copy reference is hereby made for full particulars thereof, is hereby approved, and the City <br />Manager is hereby authorized and directed to execute the same for and on behalf of the City of Redwood <br />City. <br />
