8/28/00 <br />0 R I G I f ] A L <br />(07/10/00) <br />RESOLUTION NO. 13989 <br />Resolution Approving And Authorizing Execution Of <br />Agreement With Center for the Independence of the Disabled <br />WHEREAS, Center for the Independence of the Disabled is a private, non - profit organization that <br />provides volunteers in money management; peer counseling, personal attendant referral; and independent <br />living skills, which services are in furtherance of the public health, welfare and benefit; and <br />WHEREAS, Center for the Independence of the Disabled, has requested financial assistance for <br />use by it in conducting its activities during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2000 and ending June 30, <br />2001; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request and desires to enter into an <br />agreement with Center for the Independence of the Disabled to provide financial assistance in furtherance <br />of its public purposes; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />That certain agreement (form dated 7/10/00), by and between the City of Redwood City and <br />Center for the Independence of the Disabled a copy of which agreement is on file in the office of the City <br />Clerk, to which copy reference is hereby made for full particulars thereof, is hereby approved, and the City <br />Manager is hereby authorized and directed to execute the same for and on behalf of the City of Redwood <br />City. <br />
