- 8/28/00 <br />0RIGINAL <br />RESOLUTION NO. 13991 <br />Resolution Approving And Authorizing Execution Of <br />Agreement With El Centro de Libertad -The Freedom Center <br />(07/10/00) <br />WHEREAS, El Centro de Libertad -The Freedom Center is a private, non -profit organization that <br />provides a safe place to begin the process of recovery from alcohol and drug addiction and relapse <br />prevention, which services are in furtherance of the public health, welfare and benefit; and <br />WHEREAS, El Centro de Libertad -The Freedom Center, has requested financial assistance for <br />use by it in conducting its activities during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2000 and ending June 30, <br />2001; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request and desires to enter into an <br />agreement with El Centro de Libertad -The Freedom Center to provide financial assistance in furtherance <br />of its public purposes; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />That certain agreement (form dated 7/10/00), by and between the City of Redwood City and El <br />Centro de Libertad -The Freedom Center a copy of which agreement is on file in the office of the City <br />Clerk, to which copy reference is hereby made for full particulars thereof, is hereby approved, and the City <br />Manager is hereby authorized and directed to execute the same for and on behalf of the City of Redwood <br />City. <br />
